Apple has sent out invitations to select members of the media inviting them to a special event on September 9th. The U.S. Securities & Exchange Commission has launched an investigation into possible illegal trading of Apple shares both domestically and abroad, according to a new report. Citing a series of SEC documents sent to the brokerage community, the Huffington Post reports that the commission is looking at four specific time periods, asking for the names of clients who specifically bought and sold Apple shares during those periods.
