5 Stars Got this for my wife to take to the gym.
Picked this up for my wife to bring with her to the gym. She loves it.

2 Stars Dont waste ur money
I dont think this is worth the cost and u can find better product for this cost.

No feature to see which song its playing , no option to move to desired song ( just press next,next..in sequencial and in random u just have to listen whatever is plays), no drag drop facility have to use itunes, itunes tied to specific pc,just 1gb ,etc, etc and i can keep on listing.

The two star is given for its compact , sound quality and if you pause and switch off in middle and start again it resumes properly otherwise 1 star

I may suggest this for $5-10 not for $45…

5 Stars Great mp3 player
This is the best ipod to take to the gym. I love the way it clips on and is unnoticable. Great deal at $45.

5 Stars Long Battery Life iPod at Low Cost
The dirty little secret about the iPod Shuffle is its extraordinary battery life despite low cost. Simple iPod version without any frills. I have made four trips to Mumbai India from NY and it lasts the entire one-way trip on a single charge…awesome performance. I used Bose headphones for less tiresome noise. And yes the same music repeated. I have another iPod with screen which fails the long airplane trip.

4 Stars great little player
I enjoyed my shuffle for a long time. The only reason I moved up to the nano was so I could see what song was playing and have more control. The shuffle is like a radio that only plays songs you like and no commercials. It’s good and it’s cheap. What more do you want?

4 Stars HAD IT WHEN IT FIRST CAME OUT
I had this when it first came out, i loved it. I remember listening to it over and over. up side u can shuffle all the songs, you’ll never get tired of any song. Down side, their is no way to tell what song is playing or to be able to choose, you’ll just have to keep hitting next untill you find the right album, a bit of a nusaince. I replaced mine 2 times it broke. But it holds around 100 songs if not more. I loved it, long battery life. If your looking for a cheap iPod and you don’t want to get a new one, get this. Plus it plugs right into the computer no cord needed so you wont lose it. I upgraded to nano, then touch. Love the touch i suggest it.

5 Stars 1st generation ipod
I am a great fan of this product since they released it. its a first generation ipod that i always want to carry one with me. i like the style and the ways it is useful. i used to carry one before but someone had stolen it from me i am glad i found it in amazon. you can also use a part of it as usb to store some file and as well as you can listen to music.

5 Stars A great starter iPod
This was my first iPod and first Apple product. It was a great product. This thing was great for me, as I had less than a gigabyte of music. When my music collection expanded, I moved up to a video iPod, but this thing helped me get started. The shuffle algorithm seemed to be much better than it is now.

One of the best features of this device was its durability. I kept it in my pocket with my keys for a year, and this thing held up just fine. I dropped it innumerable times, but it had so little mass, it didn’t matter. This thing even ran though the wash once and continued to work. The lack of screen really made it a great product.

Charging was easy, and battery life was very good. Syncing was fast with USB, and controls were about as good as I could ask for. This was a great device.

5 Stars I love my Shuffle!
What is there to say about the iPod shuffle that hasn’t already been said in the other 300+ reviews?

So here are the five things *I* like best about it:

It’s small and lightweight and goes right into my shirt pocket.

It’s inexpensive so if i lose or break it or if it is stolen no big deal.

I can use the controls without looking at it.

It holds just the right amount of music.

Sand doesn’t mess it up at the beach.

The charge lasts a long time.

Okay, so that’s six.

Anyway, I’ve had my shuffle for 2 1/2 years and I still love it.

5 Stars Great for the gym.
This is my first Ipod and it’s better than I expected. The sound is very cd like. You can play the songs as you arrange them with the I tunes software or use the shuffle feature to mix up your playlist. The player is very portable and is great for use at the gym.

5 Stars Great Product
I received the product in a timely manner. It looked new, and works perfect.

I would recommend this seller.

5 Stars Shuffle Ipod -good to go
The 1 GB shuffle is pretty as it is easy to take on the go. A great answer to a lightweight version of the ipod.

5 Stars Just what my daughter wanted, great price, quick service!
We knew we cold get this in a local store immediately, but no tonly was this a better price, but better choice of colors (very important for girls) and speedy delivery – not even a week!

Apple iPod classic 80 GB Black 6th Generation OLD MODEL

Apple iPod classic 80 GB Black 6th Generation OLD MODEL

Decisions, decisions. Who needs ‘em? Why should you have to choose what to put on your iPod? With a large storage capacity, iPod classic lets you carry everything in your collection everywhere you go. In completely new, even thinner, all-metal design, this iPod is a modern classic. The iPod classic gives your music and video room to move. It also has plenty of energy, good looks (a sleek, all-metal design), and a great personality (a brand-new interface with Cover Flow). In other words, iPod classic makes an ideal companion. Why not get to know it better?

User Ratings and Reviews

5 Stars iPod set me free
I bought this model as a gift for my wife, who quickly filled up her Nano and needed additional space for her burgeoning music collection. We are happy to report this has given us no problems and holds a cavernous amount of material, it’s only half full and she has hundreds of discs already imported. Some complain about the slow response time, but this includes a tiny optical drive which performs flawlessly but with a slight “lag” compared to the flash compact memories of the smaller editions. It never seemed an issue to us, and for the massive space was a great trade off in our opinion. We did get a protective case to prevent scratches and fingerprints which are easy to see on the beautiful black case. Still performing like a champion, I highly recommend the 160GB iPod. I hope to inherit this one when she upgrades to an even fancier one. Battery life is fine, it still lasts all day, and syncs to iTunes (we use a Mac at home) with ease.

4 Stars Not sure really…
I’ve heard these are good but I’m not really sure, because I never received this item. But, I did get a refund. The reason I never received it, was because I ordered it whilst on holiday in Florida, expecting it to be deivered to the sub-division I was staying on, Watersong Davenport. But, after a week I enquired at Davenport Post Office, and was told that USPS did not deliver to Watersong. Something to do with the property developer not giving permission. I had no option but to report the item undelivered. The item was returned to sender, and Amazon refunded me. On the bright side due to the dollar/pound rate fall I made 10 quid!!

3 Stars Enjoy for three years and then……
throw it away because the battery is going to die and the hassle of getting it replaced is just not worth it. I’ve had my 80 GB classic for three years now and sure enough the battery will not hold a charge any longer. I’ve been attempting to get the battery replaced but am not having any luck. Every time I think I’m just about to pull it off Apple raises one more hoop for me to jump through. I live about 150 miles from the nearest Apple store that will fix my iPod but they won’t work with me. I offered to drop it off for repair if they would mail it back to me but they said they will not ship. I offered to pay for the shipping but they refused to make the effort to send it to me. Instead they referred me to the Apple web site for assistance. I spoke with an Apple representative in customer support and she explained that when I purchased my iPod I had the option of purchasing the Apple support plan which would have covered the unit for any repairs within a two year period after purchase. Since I did not have any trouble with the unit until the third year the cost of the support plan would have been a waste of money. Here it comes…”We’re sorry you’ve had trouble but if you’ll go to our web site and log into customer support you’ll be able to arrange for the necessary repairs”. More hoops and no good outcome. The customer support section for their web site requires you to select a support “package”. It’s just a battery. Why can’t they make the process just a little easier to handle? Oh yeah, they want you to throw away the old and buy the new. So much for recycling.

5 Stars Excellent buy
Good quality sound, excellent memory for storage of songs, excellent buy, and prompt shipment. Thanks!

1 Star $150 for this???? You’ve got to be kidding. Get a Zune!!
I bought this last year believing the hype. People are always talking about how great the iPod is, so I figured why not try get one so i can have tunes in my car.

This thing was nothing but trouble after i bought it.

My first complaint is iTunes which I know I’m not alone when I say iTunes is a huge resource hog and will bog down your computer, so don’t plan on doing anything else besides using iTunes when you run it(My operating system is Windows XP Pro SP2 with almost 2GB ram). After about 30 minutes I finally figured out how to add music already on my PC. Apple sure didn’t want it to be easy did they. I’m guessing they did it this way because if you can’t figure it out they assume you’ll buy it from iTunes. I could go on and on about iTunes, but I have more complaints.

Has anyone had as much trouble as I did with the touch scroll feature? At first I thought this was a really cool feature, and I liked it. After about a week though, the problems ensued. Why does the scroll have to be so sensitive? If I move my thumb just the slightest milimeter on the music track I want to listen to, it goes to the song after or before(depending on whichever way I accidentally moved my thumb). Might I say how much I really hated this feature in my car because I always ended up having to use the arrow key buttons to get to the right song. I think I have arthritis in my thumb from all the scrolling. OK moving on.

The hold button on the top of the iPod-BAD IDEA. At first I had no problems with the hold button, but after a few weeks the button would be set in the off position and still the iPod would stay on hold. I ended up looking on Google to find a fix for this, but nothing I tried worked for me. Why couldn’t they have made the hold feature like a phone where you push a combination of keys for it to work?(ex. press * then OK) I have a 30gb Zune and the hold button was designed with an actual clicking mechanism on the top, trust me when i say its 100x better than the iPod’s. People have said on many forums once they were able to stop the hold button from staying on they actually removed the hold button…(no comment)

All in all the iPod is far from perfect, but the only thing I will give it credit for is its battery life Then again I’ve only owned it a little over 7 months so knock on wood. I’d highly recommend the 30GB Zune over the iPod because it has an FM tuner, wireless, a bigger screen, plus the interface is a lot easier to use. Did I mention the Zune is a lot cheaper? Sorry to sound so biased towards the Zune, but I’ve had both and I know where my bread is buttered.

User Ratings and Reviews

5 Stars Excelent Product
This is an excelent product, it works just fine and i cant get enough of it!

5 Stars Great product!
I’ve owned 4 Ipods, and this one is really nice. I like the amount of music it holds. If you are only interested in storing music, this Ipod will do the trick.

1 Star First and last Apple product
The one-star review is because of Apple’s attitude towards its customers. I don’t know how well the 120GB iPod Classic works because I’m unable to set it up. A series of calls to Apple tech support resulted in a string of refusals.

First, be aware that you MUST have a broadband connection in order to use any iPod. Amazon does not include that information in its product description. As a first-time Apple customer, I was not aware of this… nor was I aware of the degree to which they enforce control over how you will use their products.

If you buy the player, you will not receive either a manual or the iTunes software that you need to use it. Eliminating manuals is “green”, they say. Not including them in the package is fine, but they should be available on request. I don’t see how my growing stack of inkjet-printed, stapled-together “owner’s manuals” is any better for the environment than a smaller, professionally printed manual. This seems to be something that’s only good for Apple. (Also, note that in addition to a download-only manual, you are limited to ONE technical support call. This is not a user-friendly company.)

The big problem, though, is the iTunes software. This is bloatware beyond anything I’ve seen yet… almost 75MB, with no options for anyone who just wants to copy mpegs onto the player’s disc. Apple support says you can download the software via a dialup — it only takes about eight hours — but in the real world, no dialup connection will stay alive that long. My options? A hundred-mile round trip to an Apple store for a copied disc, or find someone with the software and copy it from them (of course, Apple won’t support me if I’m using this “pirated” software, either).

I really don’t understand why Apple can’t send out a disc with the current software on request. I used to write firmware for products that could be upgraded on the fly via the Internet, but if a customer requested a disc, that was no problem. A few cents in materials, and a few minutes of our time. Apple’s reason seems to be, “we won’t do it because we haven’t done it lately. If we do it for you we’ll have to do it for everybody. And this way we can control it.” That’s infantile and arrogant. They also feel that I don’t fit their techno-elite user profile, so I should just go away. (My impression was that iPods were pretty much commodity items by now, not cutting edge technology.) If this is typical Apple attitude, it’s my last contact with the company.

My only practical option, I guess, is to return the player to Amazon and look for a simple, no-frills unit that doesn’t require an expensive broadband connection (if they exist). As far as I’m concerned, this product is sold incomplete, with required components missing.

5 Stars Wonderful!!!!!!!!
LOVE IT! I had the first 60GIG photo so this was a great upgrade. A must have…

5 Stars I’m So Worth This!
You do one of two things with your music. You listen to it or you experience it. If listening to your music is all you need, you can get less expensive players, like my SanDisk and Zune players which work just fine.

However, if you like to experience your music as I do, this the player. To help put it in perspective, imagine that you’ve walked into a local stereo store and all the usual consumer models are on the floor with feature knock off lists, sale tags and all the other usual merchandising yadda-yadda. If you just need something for listing to music, shop for the best overall value to fit your needs.

On the other hand…

At that back of the store is that sealed glass door that leads to the listening room. Curious to see the difference, you step in and the sales person fires up a high end model and what happens next can be incredible. There you are standing in the middle of the room with your eyes closed as the music pours over you and in a matter of moments you say to yourself, “I’m so worth this.”

That was what happened to me. I’ve always bought CDs and then ripped them to 320KB MP3s and they sounded good on my SanDisk and Zune. But when I listened to them for the first time with this new iPod model, I said to myself, “I’m so worth this.”

Sure, the 120GB is great for storing all your max bandwidth music, videos and the odd kitchen sink, but there is that undeniable Apple panache for elegant, yet simple functionality. It’s there and it makes listening to your collection easier than the rest.

So there it is. If you’re shopping for a listening value, move along to the less expensive models. However, if you want to experience your music as though you were standing in that listening room, you’ve found what you’re looking for. While you’re at it, get the DLO HipCase Leather Folio Case too. It’s really nice.
